The 'city of lovers' rises along the shore of Adige.  It is known throughout the world as the theatre of the tormented love story between Romeo and Juliet in the work of the same name by Shakespeare.

The ancient city, enclosed in a circle of medieval walls with beautiful doors, rises on the right bank of the river, partially preserving traces of the Roman Empire.  This part of the city is popular for the beautiful stroll from Piazza Bra to Piazza delle Erbe.  The monument dedicated to Dante Alighieri is located where the elegant via Mazzini meets Piazza dei Signori.

Its magnificent Roman, Medieval, Gothic, and Renaissance monuments; the fascination of the legendary story of love and hate between the Montague and Capulet families; the fabulous lyric operas performed around Arena; the many fairs and exhibitions, such as Vinitaly, which attracts visitors from all over Europe, contribute to making the city a major tourist center.

Here, history and modernity converge, enveloping the city in a magical atmosphere, making it an essential destination for millions of tourists from all over the world.
